The Camaro lives on! Sure would be nice if the Firebird came back!

It is hard to believe that GM production number have fallen so far from the 1980's and 1990's. Peak sales of the Camaro were in 1979 with 282,571 Camaro's sold. In 2002, 41,776 Camaro's were sold

The Camaro launched in 1966 as Chevy’s call to action in response to Ford’s Mustang pony car. Almost instantly, the Mustang/Camaro rivalry became one of the greatest automotive rivalries in the world before the Camaro was mothballed in 2003 after 35 years of production.

The fifth-generation Camaro finally hit the market in 2010. The sixth-generation Camaro hit the market on May 16th 2015.

For the 2018, Chevrolet introduced the ZL1 1LE package for the Camaro. The new package tested to be three seconds faster around General Motors' Milford Road Course than the next-fastest ZL1 Camaro. The ZL1 1LE performance package introduces better aerodynamics, a new racing-inspired adjustable suspension, and new lighter weight forged aluminum wheels with Goodyear Eagle F1 Supercar 3R tires designed especially for the ZL1 1LE. The new performance package reduces the car's weight by 60 lb over the ZL1. The ZL1 1LE shares the ZL1's supercharged 650 hp LT4 engine paired with a six-speed manual transmission with Active Rev Match.
