The Accelerated Mobile Pages Project (AMP) is an open-source website publishing technology designed to improve the performance of web content. The AMP Project is led by Google.

The project enables the creation of websites that are consistently fast, beautiful and high-performing across devices and distribution platforms.

This should speed up page loading on mobile devices and make the page more mobile friendly.
